Pass the Halo Microchip Scanner near the area where the electronic microchip is usually implanted, often around the neck or between the shoulder blades. The microchip number will appear on the LCD screen when the chip is detected. This number can then be used to identify the animal via the appropriate identification databases.

⚠️ Important:

This scanner reads compatible microchips, but the official identification of the animal then depends on consulting the corresponding identification database. If an animal is found, contact a veterinarian, animal pound, association, or the competent authorities to follow the appropriate procedure.

When the battery is low, the message "Battery Low" appears on the screen. To recharge the scanner, plug the socket on the back of the device into a compatible USB port. When the scanner is connected to a computer with Internet access and the appropriate software, it can automatically download the database of reported lost animal numbers into its memory.
