Dog Comets Starlight Glow-in-the-Dark Tennis Ball
Dog Comets Starlight Glow-in-the-Dark Tennis Ball
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Starlight is a phosphorescent tennis ball: after a few minutes of exposure to light, it emits a glow visible in the dark. Fetch games no longer have to stop when night falls.
This is a real issue in winter, when the only available window to take the dog out is after dark. A classic ball gets lost after three throws; this one remains visible.
Highlights
Visible at night
- Phosphorescent material
- Recharges with light
Fewer lost balls
- Locatable in grass
- Useful at the end of the day
Three sizes
- S and M for small and medium-sized dogs
- L for large dogs
Available in sets
- Set of 3 in S and M
- Set of 2 in L
How to choose
The ball must be large enough so it never fits behind the fangs: if in doubt between two sizes, always choose the larger one.
Use under supervision. Remove the ball as soon as it is damaged or split.
To know
The felt on tennis balls is slightly abrasive. A dog that chews the same ball for hours on end can prematurely wear down the enamel of its teeth. The ball is meant to be thrown and retrieved, not to be a permanent chew toy.
Truffeo's Tip
The glow lasts about twenty minutes and gradually fades. For a full session, place the ball under a lamp or headlamp thirty seconds before going out, rather than relying on daylight stored in the late afternoon. And keep in mind that a phosphorescent ball helps you — the dog, meanwhile, can find it by scent without difficulty.
